The management of overweight and obesity is research of scientists around the world, and apparently Taiwanese researchers have found a way to watch your diet. How? With the application of a buccal sensor which will aim alert if you eat more. Nope, or the sensor will betray you! 😉

If you often break the diets you have to be careful because it has developed a sensor that will alert you when you eat more. Apparently, Taiwanese scientists have invented a device placed in the mouth fail to detect when a person eats or smokes more.

According to tests conducted so far this sensor, less than one centimeter, would have a 94% accuracy and be able to differentiate between eating, drinking, smoking, talking, coughing and even breathing.

This device measures the rhythm of the movements made by the mouth to eat or smoke, because it can determine whether you have eaten more. This sensor would be placed in the mouth, connecting the bridle.

This invention is not only interesting because it could embarrass you if you eat more, but controls other risk factors such as smoking or excessive drinking. In other words, with this sensor not only you lose weight because you would benefit, but you improve your cardiovascular health and therefore your quality of life.

While this device seems to have arisen from a science fiction movie, apparently it is real and concrete, and could be a useful complement to monitor the diet. While it is not yet approved and more tests and retests are required, it is an option we will have available to fight a global scourge that affects the health of millions of people.

Science is not only trying to find diets, medications and practical methods for weight loss; but try to find alternatives that can control and monitor who is on treatment for weight loss.

It will be a matter of waiting. Meanwhile do not forget that diet, exercise, natural remedies, behavioral cognitive therapies and relaxation techniques that can be useful for the comprehensive treatment of obesity.
